Commercial door and shutter servicing, Hunter Valley
A failed shutter stops trade the moment it fails. We keep warehouse shutters, workshop doors and loading doors moving across the valley's estates and main streets, and we say plainly when a door is worth repairing and when it is not.
The commercial work we do
- Roller shutter repairs: curtains off their guides, failed motors, damaged slats, shutters that have been hit by a truck or a forklift.
- Workshop, warehouse and loading doors: high-cycle doors on estates from the Rutherford and Thornton side through to workshops and depots up the valley.
- Shopfront shutters on the main streets, where a jammed shutter at opening time is the whole day's problem.
- New commercial doors and motors, specced for the duty they will actually see, not the duty on the brochure.
Whole-site servicing: one contact for every door
Most sites do not have a door problem, they have a door count. A winery might run a barrel store door, a workshop roller, a PA door and a despatch shutter; a depot might run eight of the same shutter with very different wear on each. We service the whole count on a schedule: tensions, guides, safety functions, seals and fixings, door by door, with a written record of what was checked and what is wearing.
That record is worth having. Automatic doors and shutters are working plant, and a paper trail of planned servicing answers the questions a safety walk or an incident report will eventually ask. It also means the repair-or-replace call arrives before the failure does, while there is still time to plan around it.
The cheapest door on the site is the one that gets serviced before vintage, not during it.
For seasonal operations we plan servicing around the property's calendar, so the hardest-working doors are checked before their busy season, whenever that season falls. What we do not do is promise response times we cannot stand behind. You will get a booked time and a technician who turns up to it.
Repair or replace, said straight
A commercial door is a simple sum: what the repair costs against what the door has left in it. When a curtain is fatigued, a drum is worn and the guides are hammered, patching it buys months, not years, and we will say so. When a repair genuinely brings the door back to duty, we say that instead. You get the sum, in writing, before anything is decided.
Asked by operations people
Can you take on a site part-way through its life?
Yes. The first visit is a baseline: every door gets logged, span, motor, condition and duty, and the schedule gets built from what the doors actually are, not from a template.
Do you work on any brand of door or motor?
We work across the major Australian door and opener makes generally. We do not hold ourselves out as any brand's authorised agent, we just know our way around what is installed in this valley.
Our doors are spread across two sites. Is that a problem?
No. Coverage is the point of this business, one operator across the whole map. Tally each site with the Door Muster and send both in one enquiry.
