Terms and disclaimer
Plain terms for using this website. The theme running through all of them: nothing on these pages replaces a technician standing in front of your actual door.
Guides and tools are general guidance
The guides, tables and the Door Muster on this site are general information written in good faith from trade experience, for the doors and conditions of the Hunter Valley. They describe likely causes, typical measurements and sensible next steps; they are not a diagnosis of your door, a quote, or advice you should act on in place of an inspection. The Muster in particular will never diagnose a fix, quote a price or promise a time; it builds a tally you send to us, and the trade takes it from there. Every door is quoted from an actual look at the actual door.
Safety content is a floor, not a ceiling
Where this site says leave something alone, above all anything attached to a wound spring, that is the minimum. If a door or its hardware seems unsafe in a way these pages do not describe, treat it as unsafe and say so in your enquiry. Nothing here authorises or encourages working on stored-tension hardware yourself.
Quotes and bookings
An enquiry through this site is not a contract and costs you nothing; it is a request for us to contact you. Prices are only ever set in a written quote after the door or site has been seen. Booked times are made in good faith and confirmed by phone; we do not advertise response times, and any timing discussed is a booking, not a guarantee against the realities of a working schedule.
Images
Some images on this site are illustrative, stock or generated, and depict the kind of work and country we serve rather than a specific past job or client site. No image on this site should be read as a photograph of a particular customer's property unless captioned as one.
Third-party links
Guides link to external sources such as standards bodies and government pages because claims should carry their receipts. Those sites are their own; we do not control them, and a link is a citation, not an endorsement of everything on the far end.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Where liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to resupplying the relevant service.
Using this site means these terms apply. If they change, the change appears on this page.
