Garage and shed doors around Pokolbin and Broke
Down Broke Road the doors get wider and the jobs get more interesting. Machinery sheds, barrel stores, staff quarters and the house garage, usually all on the one property, usually all wanting attention in the same visit. That suits us: whole-property door work is the trade we built this business around.
Out here the shed is the main door
Pokolbin and Broke run on working sheds. Nearly everything out this way is a house on acreage, and the door doing the real work is a 4 or 5 metre roller with machinery behind it, not the domestic double. We spec, repair and service those wide spans as a trade of their own: heavier curtains, wind bracing on exposed faces, and guides that get cleared of dust before the dust wins. The full story is on the shed doors page.
Dust, heat and the long dry
This is the dry side of an already dry valley, and the doors show it in a particular order: bottom seals perish first, then dust works into rollers and bearings, then the guides start to bind on the west-facing doors that cop the weather. None of it is dramatic until the day it is. A property-wide service catches the sequence early, which out here is the difference between a maintenance visit and a jammed shed at the wrong time of year.
Planned around the property's calendar
Every property out here has a season when a stopped door is unthinkable, and we plan door work so it lands before that season, not during it. We will not promise turnaround times, that is not how honest scheduling works, but we will book servicing into the quiet window and have every hard-working door checked before the busy one starts.
The easiest way to start is the Door Muster: tally every door on the place, spans, duty and symptoms, and send it through as one enquiry. For a vineyard or any commercial operation, our site servicing puts the whole count on a schedule with a written record.
And yes, Broke is a real run
Broke sits about forty minutes from our end of the valley and we plan it that way, bundling the visit so one trip covers everything that needs doing. Say what is on the property when you enquire and we will make the run count.
